The Droids antipersonnel defences open up, spitting fire at Apollo and Zephrin. But they're too nimble and avoid the streams of bolts!

The basilisk screeches again and fires a huge missile up into the air that seems to be looking for a lock...

With the giant walker thing so close it was a little hard to miss, and Terreck didn't have much more to do then look for someplace vital and fire his laser cannons. For what was hopefully a fairly devastating shot.

Zephrin uses force leap to reach the missile and then spends his triumph to guide it down onto the basilisk droid! He also passes on two boost dice to the next PC to go because that's just how he rolls.

Zephrin leaps into the air, the force flowing through him as he soars to an impossible height. The stars align perfectly as he's able to slice off the missile's targeting cone and send it plummeting down onto the Basilisk droid! There's a tremendous explosion and the already badly injured machine wails, black oil dripping from the craters blasted in its surface.

The Basilisk isn't going down without a fight as it keeps clawing at the tank, starting to exposure some of its internal workings even as small fires erupt within the badly injured droid.

[Vala Roke]

Vala was not a fan of what this thing was doing to her ride! "Let's blow this thing and go home!" She cried out before firing a few rounds at the Basilisk. It wasn't a great shot but one that hit nevertheless!

The Basilisk staggers part of it still trying to flay the tank as its processor core slows and slows until it finally goes inert, flopping bodily onto the tank.

The sight and sound is rather unpleasant. But still highly preferable to letting this thing have its way!

Your breakthrough allows the rest of The Hoper forces to push in behind and secure the research facility. There won't be any more of Forn's mechanical monstrosities from this location.
