You and Olemna tumble in through the windows but end up tangled in the storm shutters, costing you a a few valuable seconds. By the time you've managed to free yourself you can see that the occupant of the room, a portly balding Mandalorian is holding a battered looking Hoper, Schez as a hostage and body shield. He presses a holdout blaster pistol firmly into the Republic soldier's side!

"Drop your weapons! Drop your weapons or I shoot!"

((You got a couple options. Drop your weapons, go for a difficult shot, try to tackle him, or maybe something esle?))

((I will toss mt blaster to the side after rising to my feet, in an effort to distract him. Then if he is distracted, I will go for a tackle!))

The glance towards the fallen blaster was the only moment Terreck needed as he flew towards the portly Mando in an attempt to bring his to the ground and wrestle the gun away.

The split second of hesitation proves the Commander undoing as you fly into him, Schez falls to the ground as you two struggle for the gun, Olemna racing in to put the Mandalorian in a chokehold!

((Make me an average brawl check with a setback, but two boost dice for Olemna's help!))

The portly man was strong sadly and gaining the upper hand over the pair.

The Commander manages to get a shot off, hitting Olemna in the gut before you're able to knock the man out clean.

The Republic sergeant staggers back, one hand pressed over the wound as she grimaces. "Damn, can't believe that fat bastard had it in him. Not sure I'm gonna be able to make it."

Szchez shakily pushes himself to his feet, the big man covered in bruises. In the back of the room you can see a body, Gunner. Looks like the Commander had been forcing the two to fight again. "He's unconscious, I can carry him out." With a worried look at Olemna, Szchez goes to grab his buddy.

((Olemna is going to struggle to make it out unsupported, but carrying her along will make your own checks more difficult. Is Fec a bad enough dude to bring everyone home?))

Terreck grimaced as he looked at Olemna's wound. "Me either honestly. But I'll be damned if I'm going to leave you here to rot." He said with a shake of his head before offering the woman his shoulder. "Come on let's get you out of here."

(( First you'll need to take out that pesky shooter up in the tower who will definitely notice Fec supporting Oleman.

Average ranged combat check with two setbacks for cover.

Then you gotta move quickly through the burning camp, a simple average athletics check. But upgrade the difficulty twice if you failed the previous check.

Then it's just getting past any remaining Mandos and through the fences. That's a hard coordination or mechanics check.

Advantage can be converted to boosts for the next roll at 2:1, threat is converted to setbacks for the next roll at 2:1))

Taking out the initial guard was easy enough, though the sound of the blaster did seem to alert many of the guards in the area. Which made the coming run that much more difficult, Especially with an injured woman in tow.

The final push was the worse, though the pair managed to slip past the mando's and through a hole in the fence towards safety.

It's a close run thing, blaster bolts hiss as they sizzle into the snow by your feet and Fec and Olemna burst manage to force their way through the fence and then hustle into the comparative cover of a nearby snowdune. Rook and the rescued prisoners open up with their own weapons and their fire seems to dissuade any Mandalorian pursuit.

There are plenty of injuries and weary faces, but as you look around you can see all that between yourself and Rook, you brought everyone out. Behind you the Mandalorian camp burns and even if they are able to reestablish control you have the feeling Crusade command won't look too favourably upon this particular troop.

You have a long and cold drive back ahead of, but maybe it won't be so chilly with the freed prisoners abuzz with conversation. Just another mission completed, a few more Hopers back in the fight and a win for the Republic.

Hoper Victory!

((Terreck receives 500 credits which uhh, can go into the bank account now I suppose?))
