D1 Event Questions

Setting this up as requested
a) Can PCs who participate in the combat also participate in 'Power to the People'?
b) From how it's written I'm assuming Triumphs and Advantages (and likewise Despair and Threat) at the last roll won't matter, since there's no next roll from the character to trickle down to?

Questions!
All ranged attacks in the forest suffer one setback due to the heavy cover available .
Would think count as taking cover for the purpose of prime positions. (Figure not but may as well ask.) If not can I still take cover in the forest, and if so would it stack with this.
Also would outdoorsman or my enhanced optics suite negate this penalty?

No to Prime Positions, but yes to Outdoorsman cancelling it.

What about Valuable Facts? Can I Inspiring Presence myself?

Zeline can stim herself but not others. A valuable fact that is quite inspiring if I say so myself.

Just noting we are at 10 Power Points from 4 PCs for the Power to the People event. We need another 20 Power Points for the minimum level of success and have 7 more players (maybe more if anyone has yet to put up a description?) so hopefully everyone can give it a go
My question: I got 4 advantage on my final roll (of course). Can that be put towards a good outcome / benefit of some sort?

Just to clarify - these must be used in the first roll of the event (i.e. you can't choose which roll to use them in), right?

I thought you meant the very last roll that anyone makes in the event.
Yes, have narrative dice carry over to the first roll the next roller makes.

Similarly, any benefit to a Triumph on that individual last roll?
Probably should ask if Threats/Despair there do anything too before someone hits those.

So there's an upgrade to next roller's ability in Power to the People to pick up from my Triumph.
Since the next roller already rolled without it, ok to skip along to the next? That seems less complicated than a reroll.

On a side note.
Would having a general purpose scanner help in any way with the perception check in part three of Power to the people?

Sure, a general purpose scanner will give a boost dice to step 3 if a character is using the perception check.
