In the Hacking event, support rolls that generate floating successes only generate one on the roll, regardless of number of successes on that roll, correct?

That is correct. Support rolls are easier and more flexible, but don't have the same potential for tonnes of success as the more technical ones.

in hack the planet.

Is the non-technical option in part 3 supposed to be support? As it is not listed as such.

Nope, that one they can finally help directly that time and have the option to roll for bonus successes= points. :D

Would a toolkit be The Right Tools for the Job for mechanics in Hack the Planet, as opposed to using your bare hands?

Mr fancy over here not just rubbing wires together with his fingers!

Yes, for the mechanics rolls of the event a toolkit would be the Right Tools for the Job.

With the Medbay operational before the end of session, do we get the 2 freebies for session 1?

In which case...go team maximizing that resource!

Just to be sure since Vala asked this on the event coordination thread - do advantage/threat and triumph/despair on the last check of each player pass on as boost/setback dice or upgrades to the next player in 'we're in this together' like in the previous events?

And as a more general question - should we assume they do in all events where adv/threat and triumph/despair become boosts/setbacks and upgrades, unless expressly stated otherwise?

Thanks!
Local ⦁ Gigoran ⦁ Alpine homeclan ⦁ Obroan Militia ⦁ "Helper"
Big and Fluffy ⦁ Friendly ⦁ Likes berries ⦁ Questionable friendships?

Usually carrying: Heavy battle armor, riot shield (only?), commlink, belt pouch with stims, modular backpack w/ bunch of things.

For this event, they do not pass on. Will discuss with the non-Snowflake committee about standardizing it for the future.

No worries! Just wanted to make sure as I feel there's some confusion about this going on (ok, maybe I'm the only one getting confused XD )

Thanks!

I've been working a tad too much and slept a tad too little so I may be just missing things, but just to be sure:

In 'Crime and Punishment', the number of successful attempts needed to convince Lieutenant 'Hairs' is listed as 3. But I can't seem to find the number of successful attempts needed to convince the others. Should it be 3 for all of them? (Meaning at least.... 9 successful rolls to convince 3 of them, I suppose?)

Thanks!

That was my assumption from...somewhere, when writing the coordination thread. Good to know I don't need to edit. ^^

Also re: that event

Since all the skill checks are conversational, I assume we're not adding equipment bonuses or talents that pertain to combat on things like combat skills...since we're not actually striking/shooting them.

Unless we're impressing them at the firing range, etc?

Correct, talents/equipment that would apply to attacks or other actions in a combat will not apply here.

I'll go ahead and ask if Snowie's equipment bonuses for Discipline (from 'combat-tested' equipment would apply). The attachment never mentions it only applies to rolls in combat, but I often find it odd to use it in other situations, so always worth asking!

They will also apply here. They were probably combat-tested in the service of the Alpine Clan!
