Tomin deeply regrets slacking on her lightsaber training as the knight stumbles through the wreckage and still manages to hit her, and then Terrick before she's really registered the wound. They were so fast.

That didn't make them right. It also didn't mean they wouldn't win anyway. The old Rangers words before they landed were some comfort in the moment. Even if they didn't hold this rogue Jedi here, the archives, and the planet had more defenders waiting for them.

But right now, she could still move, so she needed to try and hold them off. Struggling to her feet, the once comfortable weight of her trusty rifle grown heavy, she lines up the shot. There's no mistaking the blaze standing over Zephrin.

"So proud of all you've ruined. Two eyes and still more blind than we'll ever be." It's not loud, and more sad than taunting, as she fires.

It's not Haneul that she hits, but the blade, symbol of everything she's betrayed. It flies from her hand, spinning in a deadly, glowing arc to slice the arm from a nearby statue that holds a stone version of such a blade. The arm drops onto Hanuel, forcing her to scramble away.

This was getting more then a little bit sketchy, half their crew was down, and he wasn't far off. As for the enemies well, , it was hard to tell where they stood. Taking a few quick steps away from The mandojedithing that had attacked him, Terreck slipped a stim from his pouch and jabbed it into Zeph when he arrived at the Jedi's side. His free hand leveling his blaster and fire at the man who had just attacked him.

It would take more than multiple lightsaber and blaster wounds to take down this Jedi...although maybe not that many more. With a grunt Zephrin levers himself to his feet, swaying slightly, his lightsaber still clutched tightly in his hand.

There's a horrible groan as the statue's giant stone arm is lifted of the ground, small pieces falling to the floor with a crash. Bloodied but unbowed Haneul raises herself to her feet, the arm floating over head with its hand pointing accusing at our heroes.

The dust hazing the opening torn in the meditation room isn't even visible to Miralukan senses, so it doesn't obscure the familiar shape. Tomin feels her her heart seize at the sight, and a quiet 'no!' accompanies a step toward the room and the still form...

But there's a fight to focus on first. She can almost hear her Master's voice echoing from the room. "Stick to the job in front of you. Focus!"

She returns her attention, heartened to see Zephrin back on his feet...just in time to get half a statue tossed at him. Fingers flicker-pull an apology along the currents of the Force in ways another Miralukan might notice before she jabs the palmed stim against her ribs.

The adrenaline flutters her breath as she straightens and hefts the rifle back into working mode, breathing out as she fires, already knowing it's another near miss, but feeling Something as this shot knocks another giant carving to the floor...and through it...tearing tile and duraplast into the gaping hole to the underground levels right beside Hanuel, who follows the debris down.

Alright, things were looking weird. Ladies were falling down holes, arms were flying here and there, Zeph had even been bitch slapped by a giant statues arm. Which looked mighty painful honestly. This left Fec with one option. Grenades!

Pulling his last frag from his vest e pulled the pin with his teeth and tossed hit at Haneul as hard as he could. Which kind of worked it certainly did hit the jedi, too bad it didn't seem to explode.

It had been a day.

Zephrin stoically took the hits. That was what he was there for. The statue's arm disintegrated but still smacked him up pretty badly. Fortunately he kept his footing.

"Even now... after all this... it is not too late for you... Knight Haneul." He punctuated his words with a relentless attack that went straight through her defenses. She seemed to reel from the words as much as the strikes.

The Haneul who slowly, painfully crawled her way out of the hole was battered and bruised, her mask rasping weakly half torn from her face. There was a large spreading bruised at her temple where Terreck had beaned her and before she can even find her footing Zephrin's physical and mental assault was upon her.

The fallen knight's concentration was clearly breaking, objects all over the temple jittered into the air only to fall back to the ground or fly around wildly. For a few moments...she was vulnerable.

Maybe it was Compasdion but something stopped him from just striking her down. Zephrin backed off, moving towards where the Jedi master lay amongst the rubble.

Well, the jedi seemed to be hesitating, which was likely to be expected given the nature of these things. Still Fec had been a soldier too long to do the same, taking a few moments to aim he pulled the trigger, hoping to end things here.
