Tomin can see the light streaming from him that he'd stolen from the Vessel. She waits for Sirina to move away, using the moment to aim. It's hard to miss this close up, and she aims to release as much of the Vessel's energy back into the forest as possible.

Holiday writhes under your assault, more and more light streaming out from him until his whole body is ablaze...it's too much! With an agonized wail he hunches over and the light intensifies to a painful, dazzling brightness...

It occurs to you he's about to explode.


((Tomin and Sirina make me your choice of a hard athletics, coordination or survival check to either get out of the blast range or into cover. Tomin, you see this coming half a second earlier with your force vision (triumph) and so can upgrade your dicepool twice))

"Oh for feck sake..." Sirina sighs before taking off at a full sprint. In retrospect, she ran way faster than needed to get clear, and is light-headed and panting as she slows and bends over with her hands on her knees as she sucks down unsteady breaths.

She takes a moment to be grateful that no one other than Tomin is around to see how very uncool that was. Note to self: next time, just walk and die if need be to not lose face.

It's getting hard to 'see' through all the energy rolling off of him. Tomin startles back then runs toward the weakened vessel at the waterfall edge, splashing across rocks and into shallows, not entirely sure what she hopes to accomplish if this blows them both over the edge. So she misses Sirina's utter lack of cool trying find a spot to brace against.

The light expands and expands until with a thunderclap it explodes! The ball of light that was Holiday expands in all directions,whipping the water into building sized waves and sending a gust of wind in all directions, then in an instant the water freezes, molded into huge beautiful crystalline shapes.

The ice glitters for a moment as small motes of light drift from it back to the vessel who stirs slow. The great Hart gives Tomin a confused look before gently nuzzling the Jedi's hand in thanks.

Sirina, you know the deer saw it all, but it also can't seem to to talk so your secret is probably safe.

[Tomin]

Tomin 'stares' up at the delicate frozen shapes, then at the hart, stroking gently up its muzzle. "Sorry we weren't faster. That ass shouldn't've gotten so close." She turns to start weaving back through the ice sculptures toward wherever Sirina's run to. "Back to the forest, and some proper medical equipment."

Sirina can be easily found, staring daggers ar the deer. She thinks it unlikely the creature knows galactic basic, so she resorts to communication through gesture. Pointing from her eyes to the Hart. "Watching you." Raised finger in front of lips. "Silence." Finger across throat. It's pretty self-explanatory.

As Tomin arrives at her side, Sirina says, "see and if we spent all that time trying to talk it out that doc could have really hulled out! He might have even hurt us at that point.

[GM Nicha]

The Hart doesn't seem to take the delay personally as it follows along beside Tomin. As they reach Sirina it replies to the Pantoran in fluent deer shaking its head and pawing the ground before gently nuzzling Sirina as well. Did it get the message? Perhaps.

You both notice that after the vessel touches you your wounds start to close and aches are soothed out of tired muscles. There's a smell like fresh soil but it's hard to pinpoint exactly where it's coming from.

[Tomin]

At leas the crazy doctor'd made it pretty plain that talking wasn't on their agenda, which eased any remaining qualms Tomin'd had about shooting everyone first. And protecting this? Definitely worth the wounds, even if they hadn't begun to heal. "Never much thought of the Alpine folks as forest stewards, but I guess you all spend enough time out in the wild spaces to want 'em in decent shape."

She'll check the Baron and his retinue on the way out. Wouldn't be right to leave them injured out here. But dead? The forest can make use of them.

[GM Nicha]

It looked like they'd perished in the fight. The Baron's retinue were hard men from the look of it, while the Baron himself enjoyed the annoyingly healthy physique of someone who ate too much but also had excellent medical care.

As you two go to leave the vessel whinnies loudly and paws at something in one of the pool's of water. Something that glows dully in the cool winter light.

[Tomin]

Since even the Forceblind could see that message, Tomin crouches to examine whatever's caught the Vessel's attention.

The Hushed Forest was famous for its high quality amber. But usually even the best finds wouldn't contain two perfect orbs of it. The two in the pool glint dully through the crystal clear water.

She fishes them out, carefully before holding them out to Sirina. "The forest has classy taste in thank you gifts. I won't mention it where Mr. Dubick can hear it if you're planning to get some mileage out of him about this not being a paying gig."
