Looking For A Good Time [D5, EE]

[Apollo]

Apollo double-checked the directions from Spike on his datapad as he made his way through the forest. He had some fun memories of going out to places like this in his youth to find a place to drink or smoke away from the strict eyes of teachers and lame people.

"Humm, should be around here somewhere...?"

Once, this seems to have been a small quiet cabin in the woods, partially built into a steep hill. Now... it is sticky. Many of the surrounding trees are coated with an artificial sticky substance, hard enough now that it should be safe to walk across. The door is solid, made of durasteel instead of wood, but it also seems to be slightly ajar.

"I don't know why, but when you said you wanted to find some place out in the woods, this was exactly the type of place I thought of." Sticky and all.

It just seemed very Apollo.

Vala tagged along to this particular adventure with Apollo. To be honest, she was expecting a misadventure. This wasn't done completely out of the goodness of her heart, admittedly. There was bound to be some trouble in her schedule in the future and it was perhaps best to help others now than potentially call a favour later. As for the specifics of this trouble, that's something she didn't know and didn't need to share with Apollo yet.

She zipped up her jacket and looked around the forest. "So, not exactly the sort of place I'd figure you'd get cozy with anyone. What's around here?"

[Apollo]

"Well this is supposedly where the graffiti-artistes are hanging out," Apollo mused as he gave the sticky-looking substance a dubious glance.

"You know, the ones drawing phallic symbols all over the place and randomly drop off supplies. Chaos Squad, I think? Oh hey, they left the door open." A gesture was made to the ajar durasteel door and he kept one hand not too far away from one of his trusty blasters as he approached carefully, alert for sounds.

He had spent a lot of time primping today and didn't want to get messed up unexpectedly.

Although there is a fair amount of the stickiness around the door, there does not seem to be anything dangerous. No sound can be heard from within.

There is another phallus spraypainted on the duracrete door, painted somewhat awkwardly over the sticky stuff.

Vala rolled her eyes when Apolla reminded her of the graffiti rumours that had been circulating around. That kind of got her remembering all of those calls she had to deal with when she was doing street-level work to earn her stripes. That was something that was beneath Cor-Sec, considering that there wasn't much they could do after the fact and it was too much effort to stop them before the act. It was easier to just tell them to call the cleaner droids and move on. That said, she still had to take all the complaints about the aftermath.

She groaned. "Yeah, I heard about Chaos Squad. Why are we dealing with them exactly? It's pretty clear that they just want to watch the planet burn apparently. They might shoot one of us and give the others a pet Manka-cat."

[Terreck Fec'klee]

"I mean the obsession with dicks kind of explains the sticky stuff." Fec mused as he stepped forward, carbine in hand.

He hadn't heard much about chaos squad but by the sound Vala made they weren't exactly good news. "What exactly are the plans for dealing with them though? Are we just going to try and get them to draw something besides dicks?" Tits might be a nice change. "Or do you have some business of some sort?"

[Apollo]

"Well, they're dropping off supplies so... stands to reason that they have to get it from somewhere, right? If they're looting it from the Mandalorians, we should see about working with them more, or directing them towards the Mandalorians, yes?"

It would seem the Zeltron had least had some tactical thinking of sorts. "Some other artistic depictions might be nice too, not gonna lie." But he was still mostly focused on silly things.

Apollo nudged the door open and looked inside.

[Vala Roke]

I'm not surprised that such people would stick to some base-level-brain self-expression of assertiveness. Vala snidely thought to herself as they proceeded. That wasn't something that she was going to say out loud now that they neared toward enemy territory.

Built into the hill, the cabin appears larger and more secure than it first looked. There is a substantial but empty storage area, a few tight bedrooms, and a common area with a vidscreen; a blinking light indicates that there is a message waiting. It is less sticky inside, but still occasionally sticky.

In the dining area, there is a bowl of fruit on the table for no reason. On the far wall away from the table, there is a posted picture of Apollo. Little horns have been drawn on him. Holes mar both the picture and the wall beneath, made with some sort of sharp thrown projectile, most likely.

Some sort of fur is on almost every surface.

[Apollo]

Apollo's eyes were naturally drawn to the mirror, no... picture of himself!

"Oh hey! I think they must be fans of me!" The Zeltron seemed positively giddy as he bounced over to get a closer look, then his face fell as he saw the damages. "..."

[Vala Roke]

Vala moved her hand to her waist, perhaps prepared to make a draw if danger presented itself. Wouldn't a message through a communicator suffice, rather than dropping in? She let out a sigh when she saw the picture. "So...This is probably the part where you let us know about your past history or tragic backstory with this gang. You've already dragged us out here, you owe us at least that."

[Apollo]

Apollo stared blankly at Vala for a couple of seconds, then back to the vandalized photo of himself. "Why would anyone do this to a picture of me?!" he lamented out loud dramatically. "Am I not hot, irresistable, and an incomperable lover?"

He huffed and shook his head. "I was never in any gang here on Obroa-Skai. Not that I can remember anyway... this place is too dull to have 'gangs'. Not like dear Corellia where there's a swoop-bike gang for every district," a small smirk to Vala. "Honestly, I'm stumped, my dear. I may originally be from this planet, as much as it pains me to admit, but this isn't familiar to me at all!"

[Terreck Fec'klee]

"I mean, it could be you were an incomparable lover to someone's girlfriend." Or wife. "Could be they just know how to hold a grudge. " He glanced towards the man for a moment. "I might say it could be one of your children or something you left behind. You seem a bit young for that though."

Though the actions did seem rather childish. "Maybe you had a past fling with someone who had kids though? Kids don't really care if you are a hot and incomparable lover after all."

[Vala Roke]

"You'd be surprised how people tend to throw sense out the window when it comes to hot people, that includes what they would do for them or to them," she gave a shake of her head with disappointment, wondering if she was called in to observe a domestic dispute in progress. "So you were originally from this planet? I'm going to guess that there's some chance that there's a tie. There are so few people around here for several clicks that it seems that there's often a connection with people than not."

She gave a hapless shrug after a moment. "Or maybe there's no actually tie. They do call themselves the Chaos Squad for a reason, I'm sure. They just thought that you deserved some attention."

With that, she began looking for signs of them, potentially their numbers or if they left anything. She wasn't too keen on standing about to wait for them to come back.

[Apollo]

Some of what Terreck said elicited a look of "Zeltron.exe has stopped working, now rebooting" from Apollo. Exes he knew his way around, so that was fine, but the thought of his age and any potential offspring short-circuited his few braincells.

There was no reasoning with *shudder* children.

"... I am worthy of attention, yes?" that seemed to be what he clung to from what Vala said. "But... uh, we should look around I guess. See if we find some clues if they'll be a problem for the Republic forces. Or something?"

Unless some of the goo was sentient (signs pointed to no), it didn't seem like anyone was living here any more. All personal effects that weren't sticky stuff, the bowl of fruit, the vidplayer, and the thoroughly defaced picture of Apollo seem to have been removed. Oh, and the fur or whatever it was.

Vala made sure to secure her gloves before she moved over to where the vid player was "Now here's probably something. With some luck, they might have some past recordings of themselves. I doubt they would want to skip out the chance of showing off what they've done, maybe for the likes or whatever passes for respect around here."

With that, she started fiddling with the buttons to see if there was a way to play the last few recordings.
