Ja'cque's traps.
Ja'cque has setup a number of traps in the sawmill. A PC can trigger one trap per round on their turn as an incidental. They have a range of short.
The Swinging Log Trap: Suddenly a huge log swings out of the darkness, the target must make a hard vigilance or resilience check to either dodge the blow or brace for impact! ◆ ◆ ◆ . On a failure suffer 6 wounds without soak.
The paint trap: There's a hiss and a splat as suspended balloons of paint rain down from above. The target must make a hard vigilance or coordination check to sidestep or dodge the paint! ◆ ◆ ◆ . On a failure add 3 setback dice worth of vision penalties to their next roll.
The giant saw trap: One of the mill's giant saws starts up with a roar, the massive blade flashing in place as the belt you're standing on starts to move! The target must make a hard athletics, vigilance or perception check to leap aside, see it coming or have already scouted an escape route ◆ ◆ ◆ . On a failure the target suffers one critical injury.

Snowflake nods as well. Seeing the Wookie doesn't seem to have weapons of his own around, he fumbles through his backpack, then hands Jacque a pair of heavy gloves. "I'm guessing Mr Jacuqes knows how to use those? Might come in handy..."
Rece soon extends an arsenal of his own, though. The Gigoran holds back a laugh. "Well, then again, maybe not?"
He then pays attention to JAcques' pointers, and even tries to help with some work of his own. He does take a while doing so, though.

Seeing the big Dowutin searching around in the house as he scurries down the stairs, Snowflake makes a beeline for him - and arrives just after the bodyguard steps on a loose wooden tile that gives way under him, making him lose his footing and fall squarely on the ground just as baloons of paint rain down on his head as if this was a birthday party.
The Gigoran seizes the opportunity to throw a fierce punch at the Dowutin's side, hitting hard and deep and making him see stars!

The squad's shots pierce through the Gigoran's thick fur, a few drops of blooding splattering the bodyguard's face. The force of the hit makes him stumble and drop to the group besides the Dowutin.
He seems unfazed, however, quickly standing up again, then raining down on the bodyguard for a strong cross to his face, which left an opening for yet another punch, this time hitting the side of his head.
The barrage of hits nonetheless, Snowflake manages to keep up, and even try to keep some of the beams and rafters between himself and those who were firing.

Rece strikes from behind and above, eliminating the squad who was focused on Snowflake with precision shots to the back of the head. Then he releases the catch on a suspended log, sending it careening towards the other squad. In the confusion, he grapples away to another area of the rafters, where he digs into cover and stims himself up.

Ja'cque is clearly tiring. Clearly months in a brig and then on the run across Obroa-Skai have left him out of practice and malnourished. He isn't able to break through his opponent's defence with a flurry fo blows, but he is also competing with Snowflake for the mercenary's attention, giving you an opening.
Meanwhile displaying a finely honed sense of survival a mercenary is able to dodge the log that swings at him out of the darkness, just taking a glancing blow to the shoulder.
