Another beast that had clearly suffered under the hands of the Mandalorian lieutenant just made Snowflake even more furious. Pulling the Besalisk down from his calf, he loudly gnarls, then sends his fist flying to the lieutenant's face.

"You think you can earn obedience through cruelty? You monster!"

After the punch connects and seeing his comrades ready to shoot, he takes a step back.

"Why? Why is this happening to me?!" Zeline took out another stim, stared at it, then sighed. She jammed it into Sirina. "You better not waste that. Everything hurts."'

She looked over at the nexu. Thank goodness there weren't two. Otherwise, things would get really out of hand. To prevent that, she took another shot at Nus from the ground. It seemed like a shot that was really good at doing one thing: hurting him like he had hurt her.

"You think you can earn obedience through cruelty? You monster!"
"I train monsters, whelp." Nus staggers back, bleeding heavily from the numerous injuries on his body before spitting some blood onto the ice. "First thing you should know, they always respond to a sonic impulse."

He takes out a grenade and tosses it at the Gigorian, but it skitters away off the ice before detonating with a high pitched and painfully loud sonic screech. The Fin Fang Foom switches its gaze over to Snowflake...

Things were getting a little bit harry. Still at least Sirina seemed to no longer on fire. Fire was bad for a girl's skin after all. Well, it was bad for everyone's skin, but Pantorans especially didn't seem to burn well. They started to look like wrinkled splums.

Stepping Away from the Nexu while keeping Nus close he leveled his blaster Carbine at the man and fired. Delivering a solid blow to the man's armored form.

"Oh, wow, he totally missed your heart there, Sarge," Zeline said, still lying on the ground. "Don't miss his!" Was that encouraging? Still probably hurt a lot to get stabbed...

Zeline then looked over to Sirina. "Wow," she muttered before jamming one more stim into her. It was really that bad in her case. Then she just started shooting again from the weird cuddle pile.

Sirina's looking very wobbly as she's confronted by the Nexu mauling Zeline right next to her. Knowing she's on her last legs doesn't much diminish her attitude as she calls to Nus, "Only meal-to-be here I see is your four drumsticks, prick." It's late, but a zinger is a zinger.

Taking aim at the Nexu, and giving it extra time to ensure she doesn't blast Zeline-- that would be an awful way to repay the medic for her help after all-- Sirina eventually feels confident in her shot and blasts the Nexu, causing it to strike it's head on a spire of rock sticking out from the ice as it tumbles a bit from the blow.

Snowflake kneels down for just an instant to get his shield back, then darts forward towards the Besalisk lieutenant again. Jaws set and eyes full of determination as he runs, the Gigoran keeps trying to pull down unwanted instincts that threatened to come to the surface.

Tomin had said it wouldn't do to let fear or anger take control of you. But how could he keep anger at bay at a time like this??

As he weaves, trying to find a good position for a hit, however, the low growl he had been emitting for the last minute or so is suddenly sparked by rage and angst buried deep down with unwanted memories and becomes a thundering, beastly roar.

"RRRRRGHHHHHHENOOOOOUGHHHH!!!"

-------------
Manoeuvre: Get shield
Manoeuvre (2 Strain): Engage Nus again
Action: Smash his face

D9 Ice Breaker, round 5. Smashing Nus' face. Adversary 3, Defence 2. Boost from Sirina, Enhance.

Net Successes: 1; Net Advantages: 1

7 damage, pierce 1 to Nus.

If I understood correctly, the 1 light pip becomes 1 black pip due to location rules, right?

I'm flipping 1 destiny to use that as another advantage for a crit to Nus. (gives Snowie 1 Conflict, 1 strain)
D9 Ice Breaker. Crit vs Nus - Vicious 1 + one previous crit vs Durable 2 (cancels out) | 1d100 ⇒ 19

Distracted: Cannot perform free maneuver next turn

Wounds: 7/22
Strain: 10/15 (took 2 from second manoeuvre, 1 from dark side use)
Defence: 3/3
Soak: 8

Will use 2 threat to activate shield discharge pack (3 strain, no soak) or 3 threat/despair to activate armour spikes (7 damage) if attacked.

Snowflake's blow staggers Nus back before he quickly reactivates his jetpack,to escape the Gigorian's reach... right into range of the Fin Fang Foom.

He doesn't even have a moment to realise his mistake before the enraged ice dragon dives at him, jaws snapping shut thunderously around Nus' form. There's a loud crunching sound and a small explosion from inside its maw. He probably wasn't getting up from that one.

With a satisfied sound the Fin Fang Foom slowly starts sliding back below the water, its eyes fixed on you for a moment before it was gone, just a dark shadow in darker water.

With the loss of their leader and the increasing chaos as more and more beasts escape the remaining Neo-Crusaders throw down their weapons. The day is yours!

Hoper Victory.

"I guess it was just hungry?" Fec offered after a moment of stunned silence. Though he did eye the hole it had disappeared into rather carefully.
