Apollo had just managed to scramble to his feet when the blast went off. That Chadra-fan sure packed a big boom for such a small size!

Still, he had seen that new Mandalorian advance at them before their vision had become obscured by everything from the explosion. "Zephrin, Rece! There's another guy coming straight for us! Show him what we Hopers got!"

The captain ducked back, finding a spot near the dependable soldier he had fought beside a few times now. "Don't worry, we've been in worse scraps than this!"

Rece is dazed, bloodied, and deafened, but he's not done yet. He raises his rifle, barely feeling the static shock as it leaps through his hands, and squeezes the trigger. The Blood Leader goes down, and Rece... finds himself still standing, somehow. He breathes a sigh of relief, grabs his super stimpack and jabs himself in the leg.

Through the dust and smoke, he notices Fec frantically digging around for a spare power cell. "Hey, Sarge! 8 o'clock belt pouch!" Some things are just clearer when you're not in the moment.

"Ah, seems someone has been talking sweet about me." Fec replied as he was stabbed teeth clenched from the pain of the stab. His blaster swiveled towards Kreena at the same time, his hands moving to reload it as he fired at the woman point blank.

There was a flickering in the force. It was clearly a moment of great potential. Zephrin seized it.

As Krenna tried to run Rece through Zephrin leapt in and batted her rapier away where it fell at their feet. His attack overwhelmed the Warlord's defenses, giving him another split second to press his attack.

Perhaps it was just a momentary reprieve but the Force was with them again...

Seeing Krenna disarmed of her weapon, Apollo slid over to where she and Zephrin were fighting. With a tip from his boot, he flipped the blade up and grabbed a hold of it. "Hey," he smirked at 'Lady Tensefor', his pheromones working over time now in the heat of battle, "should I be jealous you're giving everyone else your attention? Maybe now that I got your sword...?"

Then he blinked, realising he probably was dangerously close to being the prime target now. "... Like, we could stop fighting and go out for drinks instead?"

It seemed this fight was just getting going. He did his best not to wince at the punch Apollo received. Deftly Zephrin disarmed Krenna once again. This time he couldn't land a hit though. It was time to change tactics. So he backed away to await the next opportunity to strike.

Apollo felt his breath leaving him as he staggered from the punch, and just as he felt himself recover he saw Zephrin disarm Krenna again.

"Ok, sure... my ship then. You just gotta catch me first!" he grinned like a madman as he grabbed the sword and began running off, suddenly drawing the blaster she had given him as he fired wildly at her to give himself some covering fire.

The Warlord is, if that were even possible. Getting angrier as Apollo runs off with her rapier again. She briefly considers shooting him in the back, but that damned Jedi was too skilled to leave unattended to.

Krenna launches herself at Zephrin, her gauntlets sparking against his lightsaber as they trade blow after blow. "Knight Zephrin, I think? Now I really have heard stories about you. If I believed half of them you'd be responsible for defeating my entire army. She punches again and grabs his blade, struggling for an advantage.

"I hear you have a new padawan. After we're done here I'll kill him next. Want me to say anything to Torvin? Hmmmm?"

Rece hefts his rifle sluggishly. Slow and steady. Careful aim. Don't hit Zephrin. He pulls the trigger and blasts Krenna square in the back, but it doesn't bring her down. "...woulda been narratively satisfying if it did, though..."

Well, there went short stuff, zapped to death by an arc of energy. Which wasn't good. Especially considering that Zephrin was getting pummeled with a series of punches.

Still there was not much for Fec to do but fire, and hope he didn't hit the Jedi.

Krenna staggers at the point blank fire, even her armour can't stand up to that sort of abuse for long as components are literally blasted off her. She rapidly analyzes the situation as she continues to trade blows with Zephrin. Much more of this and she'll be picked off. Even that useless Apollo had somehow got a hold of her blade.

Well, if the conditions are not suitable for victory. It was time to change the conditions. She reaches into her armour and extracts a large metallic round object.

"Didn't think I'd have to use this...not bad Hopers, not bad."
With a flick of her wrist she sends the sphere soaring into the air...as it begins to beep faster and faster.

Every PC has an opportunity to dramatically dive behind cover with a hard athletics, coordination or vigilance with a setback protecting them from the blast. On a success, the PC takes no damage no damage. On a failure 8 damage pierce 5.

Two difficulty upgrades from despairs!



If someone would like to heroically carry Rece out, add an additional setback to the roll.


Scene continues here once the other Day 11 combat wraps up.
